Artist's Comments

here is a work in progress photo of link and epona. I am still not done with epona but this will give you all an idea. I am also not done tooling the lantern. It is giving me a headache so I quit for the time being. lol

**breathlessness** Wow. Custom dolls are so awesome when they're done well, and it looks like you're doing a great job so far, so keep it up!
Thank you so much! I love the art of customizing because it is always evolving. With every piece I work on I learn something new. Thanks again for the praise! :)
what materials do you use for these?
for the most part the costumes are made from trouser socks or panty hose. LOL I sometimes drybrush acrylic paint to tint the color a bit. I also use leather from old wallets for some details like armor or belts. For the hair I just apply short strands of doll hair to the scalp using super glue gel. Its messy but i love the effect. The figures themselves are just Marvel Legends action figures or Lord of the Rings action figures. Everything else is just junk I find laying around. :D
Where can you get things to make that kinda of stuff?
I usually just stock up on action figures and accessories. I also use a lot of useless junk I find laying around the house. Oh and the clothes are usually made from trouser socks or panty hose. Anything thin enough to hang well on that scale. Regular fabric is just too thick and bulky! :D
I wishes I had an link and Epona to take over the world of misfit figures XD
lol they would rule the landscape.
woah, you should deffinetly publish these! i bet you could really sell them! its great!
